Stayed 2/5/13 - We had a wonderful and relaxing time at the Sapphire cabin! The snow made it look like a fairyland. When we arrived the fireplace was lit and made the cozy cabin so welcoming. Everything we could have wanted was supplied. The hot tub was exactly what we needed! We also enjoyed a side trip to the lovely and romantic Honey Run Falls.

We celebrated our 30th anniversary in the Sapphire cabin. It was very clean with comfortable bed and sheets. All the kitchen gadgets were supplied, including bowls, baking pans amongst the standard items. A set of knives and paper towels were thoughtfully provided as well. The hot tub was perfect and in the perfect setting. The ridge views were beautiful and trip there and back provided stunning views of the colorful fall trees as well. The DTV included a number of premium channels for guests to enjoy. Great hospitality and a perfect romantic setting. We look forward to our next wisit.

My wife and I were looking for a weekend getaway and this place was perfect! The cabin was clean and well kept and was very comfortable. We enjoyed sitting by the fireplace while watching a movie. The kitchen was stocked with all the cookware we needed. The hot tub was the highlight of the cabin as it wonderful with the cool fall weather. This was just the weekend we needed. The views were spectacular. We will come again for sure.

06/21/12 - this was probably the 6th time staying here. It is always a pleasure. The cabin is clean, with all you need to fix a meal, the fire ring at Sapphire is in a wonderful location to look at the fire while you relax in the hot tub. Very intimate setting and joy to stay in. Would recommend it to anyone looking to get out of the city but not travel too far and pay too much.

We really enjoyed your cabin! the scenery was so beautiful and peaceful being away from the city life. We got to visit the waterfall as well as the covered bridge which were both great to see. The cabin was very cute, romantic, peaceful. We will defintely be returning soon enough. The locals are very nice as well, very helpful with directions.

I recently visited Sunset Ridge. I was pleasantly surprised. I am nothing but city, and have never done anything like camping. My wife truly enjoys camping, I mean roughing it. This was my compromise. We arrived early wednesday afternoon 6/8/2011. We had no prblem finding the place our Tom Tom took us directly to the site. Day one was interesting i did not know hat to expect. It took us 2 hours to get the campfire stareted as the wood was a bit wet, from the rain that arrived earlier in the week. Day 2 was a bit more interesting as we visited a few of the sites in the area. The covered bridge and the waterfall are must sees, when visiting this area. We did have a bit of trouble finding the waterfall. We did not find i until day 3, fyi it is on sr 62. We did cheat on getting the campfire started on the 2nd night (charcoal briqutes) just saying. We stayed in the Saphire cabin which i must say was cute. It had everything that I needed. All the pots and pans, electric stove, refrigerator, and directv. The main attraction at the cabin was the hot tub. This was truly an awesome experience. The water was 99 degrees, and it felt wonderful. I hated to see the vacation end on Friday 6/10/2011. So in my opinion if your a little bit country, or a little bit city, this retreat has a lot to offer.

We loved the cabin, the setting and the location. We were close to the bike trails from Mt. Vernon to Danville and the trail from Killbuck to Fredricksburg. We had a bonfire at night at the cabin, used the hot tub, grilled, walked the country roads and enjoyed the sunsets that were fabulous. The view is wonderful and goes on for miles. The cabin is private and very pretty inside. We will be returning in a couple of months. thank you for a great 4 day vacation!!!

Nov 25-27 2011 - We had the best time ever, we arrived on Friday and met one of the owners and he was so friendly, he want to make sure we had everything we needed and asked if we had any questions, and when I receive the envelope with a warm note written on it, I knew this was the right choice. This is the way anyone should start a vacation. This was all a surprise for my husband so when he finally asked the price he was shocked on the great deal for such a beautiful place, we started a fire outside, got unpacked and spent the rest of the evening taking in all of the beautiful scenery. We woke up early Saturday morning, relaxed in the hot tub and listened to the wild life, on Saturday night we saw a fox run through the woods how cool!!!! Sunday morning was bitter sweet, we both loved this place so much we are already planning another trip, we will be regular visitors from this point on. We have recommended this to quite a few friend and I think one has already booked their trip. You could not ask for a more quite, comfortable, relaxing, and beautiful place to spend a vacation. Thank you so much for your hospitality, see you soon. Mr.& Mrs. Nix
